To clean the ELVITA CVK3170X Electric kettle, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the kettle is disconnected from the mains and has cooled down completely.
2. Use a damp, lint-free cloth to clean the outside of the appliance. Do not use abrasives or harsh cleaning solutions.
3. To descale the kettle, use a normal descaling agent following the relevant instructions. Do not fill the kettle to the upper marking to prevent spills if the descaling agent causes the water to foam.
4. After descaling, run the kettle through several boiling cycles using clean water for each cycle to thoroughly remove any descaling residue.
5. Rinse the kettle with clean water afterwards.
6. Do not immerse the base unit or the kettle in any liquid.
It is advisable to remove mineral deposits from the kettle at regular intervals to maintain its performance.
