To change the battery in your Vicks Speed-Read V911/V912 thermometer, follow these steps:
1. Slide the battery cap away from the unit to open the battery compartment.
2. Carefully remove the old battery using a non-metallic pointed instrument.
3. Insert a new 1.55V, L41 alkaline or SR41 silver oxide type battery or equivalent, with the positive (+) side facing the display side of the unit.
4. Carefully slide the battery cap back into place, ensuring that it is secure to protect the battery compartment from moisture.
5. Properly discard the old battery, keeping it out of reach of young children, elderly, and pets.
Please note that when the "" appears in the lower right of the display, it indicates that the battery is exhausted and needs replacing.
