To measure for a betta Panel Glide blind, follow these steps:
1. Decide whether you want to install the blind as a Face Fit (outside mount) or Reveal Fit (inside mount) based on your preferences and the characteristics of your window.
2. Use a good quality tape measure and measure down to the nearest millimeter.
3. Measure the width of the window first, from architrave to architrave or with 50mm - 100mm extra on each side for square set windows. Take three measurements at the top, middle, and bottom, as the windows may not be perfectly square. Use the smallest measurement if necessary.
4. Measure the drop of the blind from the inside of where the blind will be fitted to where you want it to finish. Take three measurements on the left, middle, and right sides, and use the smallest measurement if needed.
5. If you are measuring for a Face Fit (outside mount) blind, measure the width at the top of the opening and where the blind will be fitted. Take three measurements and use the smallest one. For the drop, measure from the inside of where the blind is being fitted to where you want it to finish.
6. Divide the width of the track by the number of panels you want, which will give you the panel width. The panel size should be approximately 600mm, but no less than 450mm.
7. Consider any additional factors such as light gaps, window obstructions, and the weight-bearing capacity of the wall or ceiling.
Please note that these instructions are a general guide, and it is recommended to consult with an experienced expert measurer/installer for accurate measurements and installation.
