To connect your iRobot Roomba 690 to Wi-Fi and the iRobot HOME App, please follow these steps:
1. Download the iRobot HOME App: Search for "iRobot HOME" in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) and download the app to your smartphone or tablet.
2. Create an iRobot account: Open the iRobot HOME App and create a new account. If you already have an account, simply log in.
3. Power on your Roomba: Press the CLEAN button on your Roomba to turn it on.
4. Connect your Roomba to Wi-Fi: On the iRobot HOME App, tap the "+" icon to add a new robot. Follow the on-screen instructions to select your Roomba model (690) and connect it to your Wi-Fi network. Make sure your smartphone or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network that you want to connect your Roomba to.
5. Place your Roomba on the Home Base: Position the Home Base in an open, uncluttered area with at least 4 feet (1.2 meters) of clearance in front of it. Place your Roomba on the Home Base to activate the battery.
6. Complete the Wi-Fi setup: Follow the prompts in the iRobot HOME App to complete the Wi-Fi setup process. This may involve entering your Wi-Fi network password and selecting your preferred settings.
7. Test the connection: Once the Wi-Fi setup is complete, you can test the connection by using the iRobot HOME App to start a cleaning cycle or access other features and settings.
Note: It is important to ensure that your Home Base is in an area with consistent Wi-Fi coverage to allow Roomba to receive information via the iRobot HOME App.
