To assemble and use the hygger HG-956 Aquarium Gravel Cleaner, please follow the steps below:
1. Connect the water inlet and outlet: Before using the gravel cleaner, connect the water inlet and outlet. This can be done by attaching the soft hose to the water inlet and the outlet strap hose to the water outlet.
2. Set up the gravel cleaner: Insert the extension tube into the aquarium and place the water outlet into a bucket or sink. Make sure the water outlet is at least 19 inches lower than the water inlet.
3. Prime the gravel cleaner: Push the siphon switch several times until the water fills the entire outlet strap tube. This will prime the gravel cleaner and allow water to flow out automatically.
4. Start cleaning: Once the gravel cleaner is primed, release the siphon switch and water will start flowing out. Move the extension tube up and down in the aquarium to remove debris and clean the gravel. The internal filter screen will prevent blockage by gravel.
5. Adjust the flow: The flow control valve allows you to adjust the water flow according to your needs. Use the hose fixture clamp to secure the outlet strap hose to a bucket or sink.
6. Complete the cleaning: Continue moving the extension tube to clean all areas of the aquarium. The powerful vacuum will quickly drain dirty water without wetting your hands.
7. Maintenance: Regularly clean the internal garbage to ensure optimal performance. Check for any air leakage when connecting the tube.
