To switch between forehead mode and surface mode on the Ampmed AMP1701 Infrared Forehead Thermometer, follow these steps:
1. Before taking forehead temperatures, make sure to switch to forehead mode. Ensure that the forehead is free of hair and sweat.
2. To take surface temperatures, select Surface mode. Aim the thermometer between 1.2 and 2 inches from the object's surface in the middle.
3. Remember to aim the thermometer at the center of the forehead, between 1.2 and 2 inches from the skin, to ensure accurate readings.
