To connect your Sagemcom Broadband FAST 5290 Fiber Wireless Router to the internet, follow these steps:
1. Place the router in a vertical orientation on a flat surface.
2. Connect the manufacturer supplied AC to DC power adapter. Make sure to use the 12VDC, 4.1A power adapter provided by the manufacturer.
3. Connect the power adapter to the router first, then plug the mains lead into the mains adapter, and finally, plug the mains lead into the mains socket. Ensure that the mains lead is properly inserted into the power supply unit.
4. Connect the "FAST 5290" router to the AC Mains according to the installation instructions and the markings on the identification label.
5. Depending on the installation method required by your ISP, you have two options:
a. If your ISP provides an Ethernet connection, connect the Ethernet cable (provided) to the RJ45 port labeled "wan" on one end, and connect the other end to the Internet access device provided by your ISP.
b. If your ISP provides a MoCA connection, connect the MoCA cable (provided by ISP) to the coaxial port labeled "MoCA" on one end, and connect the other end to the Internet access device provided by your ISP.
6. If you want to connect a computer using an Ethernet cable, use one of the RJ45 ports on the router labeled "1" or "2". Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the chosen port on the router, and connect the other end to the Ethernet port of your computer. Repeat this step if you have additional devices to connect.
7. If you have a battery backup system, use the USC Link cable provided by the dedicated battery vendor to connect the battery to the router's Battery port. This port is only used to transmit signal data.
