To connect the Elgato Stream Deck to your computer, follow these steps:
1. Connect the Stream Deck directly to a USB port on your PC or Mac. Avoid using a USB hub for the connection.
2. Download and install the Stream Deck app from the official Elgato website. You can find the app at this link: https://www.elgato.com/gaming/download
3. Launch the Stream Deck app after installation. This app allows you to customize the Stream Deck according to your preferences.
4. Customize the Stream Deck by dragging actions from the right panel and dropping them onto the desired keys on the left. This allows you to assign specific functions to each key on the Stream Deck.
5. If you want to use custom icons for your actions, make sure to configure your actions and personalize keys with 72 x 72 pixels .jpg or .png files for the best results.
6. You can create folders on the Stream Deck by dragging and holding one key over another. This allows you to organize your actions and access them easily. To exit a folder and return to your main configuration, simply tap the back key.
7. To modify keys, you can right-click on them. This will give you options to copy, delete, or reset the keys as needed.
8. The Stream Deck comes with a stand. You can prop it on the included stand and adjust the legs for optimum access.
9. If you want to use the Stream Deck for social media accounts, you can assign specific actions to the keys that are relevant to your social media activities. This can include actions like launching social media apps, posting updates, or accessing specific features.
