To set up the GARDENA 1890 Water Control Flex, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the product is intended for private use in domestic and hobby gardens, exclusively for outdoor use, to control sprinklers and watering systems.
2. Make sure that children and young people under 16, as well as anyone who is not familiar with the operating instructions, do not use the product. Persons with reduced physical or mental abilities may use the product only if they are supervised or instructed by a responsible person.
3. Set up the Water Control vertically with the sleeve nut to the top to prevent water from penetrating into the battery compartment.
4. Ensure that the minimum water output is 20-30 liters per hour to ensure proper functioning of the Water Control. For example, if you are using the Micro-Drip-System, you will need at least 10 x 2-liter Drip Heads.
5. Avoid tensile strain by not pulling the hose connected to the Water Control.
6. Note that if the control section is removed when the valve is open, the valve will remain open until the control section is reattached.
7. Make sure to use a 9V alkaline manganese battery (alkaline) type IEC 6LR61 to ensure safe operation of the Water Control. Replace the battery when the battery symbol flashes to prevent the Water Control from failing.
