To properly fit the cuff for the ADC 6012N Semi-Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor, follow these steps:
1. Position the cuff flat on the table with the hook-and-loop adhesive side down. Pass the end of the cuff through the flat metal ring so that a loop is formed.
2. Place the cuff over your left upper arm so that the tube is closer to your lower arm.
3. Lay the cuff on your arm so that the lower edge of the cuff lies approximately 2 to 3 cm above the elbow.
4. Make sure the small white "Artery Mark" on the cuff lies exactly over the artery that runs down the inner side of your arm.
5. Tighten the cuff by pulling the end and close it by affixing the hook-and-loop closure.
6. There should be a little free space between your arm and the cuff. You should be able to fit two fingers between your arm and the cuff. Remove any clothing that fits closely to your upper arm.
7. Lay your arm on a table with your palm upward so that the cuff is at the same height as your heart. Make sure the tube is not kinked.
It is important to fit the cuff properly to ensure accurate blood pressure measurements. If you are unsure of the proper fit, you can measure your arm circumference or consult with a healthcare professional.
