To install the MOXA ICF-1171I Series Fieldbus-to-Fiber Converters, follow these steps:
1. Choose the mounting option: The converters can be attached to a DIN rail or mounted on a wall. For DIN-rail mounting, push down the spring and attach it to the DIN rail until it snaps into place. For wall mounting, install the optional wall-mount kit first and then xxxx the device onto the wall.
2. Connect the power inputs: The ICF-1171I supports dual power inputs for redundancy. Connect the DC power inputs to the corresponding terminals on the device. Make sure the power source voltage is stable.
3. Connect the CAN bus: Use a 3-pin removable xxxx terminal to connect the CAN high (CAN_H) and CAN low (CAN_L) pins to the corresponding pins on your CAN device.
4. Connect the fiber cable: Use an ST-Port to ST-Port cable to connect the fiber ports of the converters. Make sure to follow the correct pinouts and wiring instructions provided in the manual.
5. Set the switch settings: The converters have DIP switches and rotary switches for configuration. Set the DIP switches according to your requirements, such as enabling or disabling the terminator. Use the rotary switches to set the arbitration rate and data rate of the CAN bus.
6. Check the LED indicators: The converters have LED indicators that provide information about the power status, CAN bus communication, fiber communication, and more. Refer to the manual for the meaning of each LED color and status.
