To clean the NESCO FG-100 Electric Food Grinder, follow these steps:
1. Always unplug the unit before cleaning.
2. Do not immerse the Grinder Base unit in water or other liquids. Wipe it with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaners as they could damage the finish.
3. Wash all removable parts, except the Grinder Base, in hot soapy water, rinse, and set aside to dry. Take care when handling the Cutting Blade.
4. Note that the removable parts are not dishwasher safe, as dishwasher detergents may cause pitting and corrosion. Always wash them by hand in soapy water.
5. After washing and drying the Blade and Cutting Plates, coat them with cooking oil. Wrap them in grease-proof paper or a plastic bag to prevent corrosion (rust).
6. Store the appliance in a dry place.
