To connect the ROBE iParfect 150 FW TW to a DMX controller, you will need a shielded twisted-pair cable designed for RS-485 and 5-pin XLR connectors. Follow these steps:
1. Locate the DMX input and output connectors on the fixture. They are 5-pin XLR sockets.
2. Connect the DMX output of your controller to the DMX input of the first fixture in the DMX chain using the shielded twisted-pair cable.
3. If you have additional fixtures, connect the DMX output of the first fixture to the DMX input of the next fixture using the same cable.
4. Repeat step 3 for all the fixtures in your DMX chain. Up to 32 fixtures can be interconnected.
5. At the last fixture in the chain, terminate the DMX chain with a terminator. Solder a 120 Ω resistor between Signal (–) and Signal (+) into a 5-pin XLR plug and plug it into the DMX output of the last fixture.
Make sure to set the DMX address of each fixture according to your DMX controller's configuration. Refer to the user manual for more information on addressing and DMX control modes.
Note: If you have the wireless DMX version of the fixture, you can link the fixture with a DMX transmitter by running a link procedure on the transmitter. Refer to the user manual for more information on wireless DMX operation.
