To install the Ventair VTMSENSOR exhaust fan motion sensor, please follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the power is turned off by removing the power fuse or turning off the circuit breaker.
2. Select a suitable location for the sensor. Avoid aiming the sensor towards lights, reflective surfaces, areas subject to rapid temperature changes, heat sources, or objects that may move in the wind.
3. Check the dimensions of the detector (38.78X76.23X3R2mm) and power box (19.29X149.44X29'.41 mm) for reference.
4. The recommended installation height is 2.5m to achieve a detection range of up to a circular area with a diameter of 6m.
5. Do not use the sensor with dimmers.
6. Read the entire instruction manual before proceeding and ensure that all wiring complies with local electrical codes. It is recommended to hire a licensed electrician for installation.
7. To install the sensor, drill a hole in the ceiling with a diameter of 32mm and keep the power cable outside the hole.
8. Strip off 6-8mm of cable sheathing.
9. Unscrew the protective cover on the power box.
10. Connect the power box terminal with RJ 11 and xxxx the cable cover tightly.
11. Refer to the wiring diagram provided in the manual to connect the cables and xxxx the cable cover tightly.
12. After arranging all wires, insert the power box into the ceiling through the drilled hole.
13. Put the detector's two spring clips into the drilled hole and then insert the detector upwards.
14. Restore the power supply.
