To install the turbionaire MIO 100 Wall Fan, follow these steps:
1. Choose the right voltage shown on the label before connecting it to the power source.
2. For wall installation, cut an appropriate size hole in the wall, ensuring there are no cables or pipes behind it. Make sure the internal and external walls are flush, and allow the ducting to slope slightly towards the external wall for drainage.
3. Remove the front cover of the fan and position it against the wall. Mark the four fixing points and cable entry, then drill holes to suit.
4. Bring the cable to the unit via a double pole switch with a minimum 3mm separation on all poles.
5. Bring the main cable through the cable entry and fix the fan body into position.
6. Fix the front cover and external shutter (external shutter not supplied).
For glass-window installation, follow these steps:
1. Before cutting, check that there are no obstructions such as window frames or joints, and ensure there is sufficient clearance for the housing.
2. Position the fan against the window glass and mark where to cut.
3. Bring the cable to the unit via a double pole switch with a minimum 3mm separation on all poles.
4. Use glass glue to fix the fan body to the window glass. Let the glue dry for 3 minutes to ensure a firm mount.
For ceiling installation, follow these steps:
1. Choose a suitable location for the fan and cut a flush hole in the ceiling to size.
2. Remove the front cover of the fan and bring the cable to the unit via a double pole switch with a minimum 3mm separation on all poles.
3. Pass the main cable through the cable entry and fix the unit into position using suitable fixings (not supplied).
4. Ceiling mounted units must be ventilated to the outside and not into the ceiling or loft space. Use a flexible duct and a back draught shutter to suit.
Please note that these are general installation instructions. For more specific details and diagrams, refer to the turbionaire MIO 100 Wall Fan Instruction Manual.
