To clean the Hamilton Beach Indoor Grill, follow these steps:
1. Unplug the grill from the outlet and allow it to cool.
2. Dispose of any grease carefully.
3. To remove the cover for cleaning, open the cover and gently pull it straight up to remove it. Clean the cover with hot, soapy water, rinse with water, and dry.
4. The grill plate and drip tray are dishwasher safe or can be washed in hot, soapy water. When cleaning in the dishwasher, place the drip tray on the top rack only. The cover with the viewing window can only be hand-washed. Rinse and dry.
5. Use a nylon or plastic scouring pad and a non-abrasive liquid cleanser to clean the grill plate and drip tray. Do not use metal scouring pads.
6. Do not immerse the base, cord, or plug in water or any liquid.
7. To replace the cover, align the inside of the cover piece with the outside base piece and gently slide it into position. The cover must remain in a vertical position during removal and replacement.
Note: The drip tray may discolor from drippings.
