To rotate or replace the blades on the BORMANN PRO BMC8500 Power Shear, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the tool is switched off and unplugged before starting any work on the tool.
2. Use the provided hex wrench to loosen the upper blade securing bolt.
3. Remove the lower blade and the upper blade.
4. Rotate both the upper and lower blades 90 degrees to expose new cutting edges. Each blade has four cutting edges on each side.
5. If all eight edges on both blades are dull, replace both blades with new ones.
6. When installing the upper blade, use the thin washer (if provided) between the upper blade and the blade holder. Tighten the upper blade securing bolt while pressing up on the upper blade.
7. Ensure that there is no gap between the upper blade and the beveled surface of the blade holder.
8. When installing the lower blade, press it against the yoke so that it contacts the beveled portions of the yoke and the tip of the lower blade positioning xxxx .
9. Tighten the lower blade securing bolt while ensuring there is no clearance between the beveled portions of the yoke and the tip of the lower blade positioning xxxx .
10. After securing the blades, check for any gaps or looseness and make adjustments if necessary.
