To unlock and lock the clamps on the Rowenta CF7212D0 Retractable Straightener, follow these steps:
1. Press the "Lock System" button (C) to unlock the clamps. This button is located on the handle of the straightener.
2. Press the lateral slides (D) and slide the plates (E) outwards until they latch in place. This will open the clamps.
3. The "Appliance on" indicator light (B) will light up, indicating that the straightener is heating up.
4. After use, unplug the appliance and slide the plates inwards using the lateral slides. Press the clamps together and press the "Lock System" button to lock them closed.
5. You can store the straightener in its heat-resistant case (G) immediately after use for safe storage.
