Sure! Here are the step-by-step instructions on how to use the Konquest KBP-2704A blood pressure monitor:
1. Prepare the device: Insert the 4 AA batteries that come with the monitor into the battery compartment. Make sure the batteries are properly aligned with the positive and negative terminals.
2. Position yourself: Sit in a comfortable and relaxed position with your feet flat on the floor. Rest your arm on a table or armrest, palm facing upward, and make sure your upper arm is at heart level.
3. Apply the cuff: Wrap the cuff around your upper arm, ensuring that the bottom edge of the cuff is about 1-2 inches above your elbow. The cuff should fit snugly but not too tight. Secure the cuff with the Velcro strap.
4. Start the measurement: Press the power button on the monitor to turn it on. The display will light up, and the monitor will automatically inflate the cuff. Remain still and avoid talking or moving during the measurement.
5. Wait for the reading: The monitor will display your blood pressure and pulse rate on the LCD screen. Once the measurement is complete, the cuff will deflate automatically.
6. Record the measurement: Take note of your blood pressure and pulse rate readings. The monitor can store up to 120 measurements, so you can review them later or share them with your healthcare provider.
7. Power off the device: After recording the measurement, press the power button again to turn off the monitor. If you're not using the monitor for an extended period, it's recommended to remove the batteries to conserve power.
