Descaling the kettle is an important maintenance task that should be done regularly to ensure optimal performance. Here is how you can descale your Morphy Richards 108272 Hive Jug Kettle:
1. Ensure that the kettle is unplugged and cooled down before starting the descaling process.
2. Prepare a descaling solution suitable for stainless steel, glass, or plastic. Follow the instructions provided with the descaling product carefully.
3. Remove the lid of the kettle.
4. Pour the descaling solution into the kettle, filling it up to the maximum level indicated on the water gauge. Do not exceed the maximum line.
5. Place the kettle on the 360° Power Base, but do not plug it in.
6. Allow the descaling solution to sit in the kettle for the recommended amount of time as specified by the descaling product instructions. This usually ranges from 15 to 30 minutes.
7. After the recommended time has passed, discard the descaling solution from the kettle.
8. Rinse the kettle thoroughly with clean water to remove any remaining descaling solution.
9. Wipe the outside of the kettle with a damp cloth.
