According to the user manual, it is recommended to clean the grease filters on the LIVINOX LCH-NITE-90BL Cooker Hood at least once a month. Regular cleaning of the grease filters will improve the efficiency of the appliance in eliminating heat and contaminated air in the kitchen. Heavy oil deposits on the filters can pose a fire hazard, so it is important to clean them regularly.
To clean the aluminum grease filters, you can either wash them in the dishwasher or soak them in a degreasing agent for an hour. After cleaning, rinse off the filters and allow them to dry before re-installing them in the cooker hood.
It is important to note that the charcoal filters (if included in the package) should also be replaced once a year or depending on the frequency of appliance usage. These filters cannot be reused and are responsible for filtering out odors in the re-circulating mode.
Remember to always switch off the power and unplug the connection before conducting any maintenance or cleaning on the cooker hood.
