According to the user manual, the Alpha Grillers Vegena Instant Read Meat Thermometer is pre-calibrated for your convenience. However, if you feel the need to recalibrate the thermometer, you can follow these steps:
1. Fill a glass with ice water and let it sit for a few minutes to ensure it reaches a temperature of 32 degrees Fahrenheit (0 degrees Celsius).
2. Insert the probe of the thermometer into the ice water, making sure it is submerged but not touching the sides or bottom of the glass.
3. Wait for the reading on the thermometer to stabilize. It should read very close to 32 degrees Fahrenheit (0 degrees Celsius). If it does not, you may need to recalibrate the thermometer.
4. To recalibrate, locate the small calibration xxxx on the back of the thermometer. Using a small screwdriver, turn the xxxx until the display reads 32 degrees Fahrenheit (0 degrees Celsius).
5. Remove the thermometer from the ice water and wipe it dry with a clean cloth.
