To assemble the Golden Lighting 1020-6 BLK-MWS chandelier, follow these steps:
1. Prepare for installation by shutting off the power supply at the fuse or circuit breaker. Also, make sure to use only the specified bulbs and not exceed the maximum wattage.
2. Remove the new fixture from the carton and the yellow bag that holds all the parts. Remove the old fixture from the wall, including the old mounting strap.
3. Take the mounting strap assembly from the parts bag. Attach one end of the threaded xxxx (F) to the mounting strap (A) using the washer (C) and hex nut (D).
4. Place the mounting strap (A) over the junction box and secure it in place with the mounting screws (B) and a screwdriver. Tighten the screws securely.
5. Measure to determine the correct length of chain needed for the desired hanging height. To shorten the fixture, trim the wires to the desired length plus at least 8 to 10 inches. Use pliers if necessary to remove any excess chain.
6. Attach the top rings (Q) to the top loop (L). Attach chain connectors (K) to each end of the chain (J) before attaching one end of the chain connector/chain to the top loop (L). Connect the other chain/chain connector to the canopy loop (H). Close the chain connectors (K) to secure. One of the fixture's rods (N) is on the fixture wires. Pull the wires until taut and feed them through the various components (top ring, top loop, chain, canopy loop collar, canopy) until taut. Hang one hook end of the rods (N) onto the top rings (Q) and attach the other hook end of the rods (N) onto the rings (M) found on the fixture body.
7. Slide the canopy loop collar (I) and canopy (G) down onto the chain/wires.
8. Have an assistant support the fixture's weight while completing the wiring. Refer to the wiring diagram and attach the fixture's wires to the power supply wires from the junction box. Connect Hot to Hot, Neutral to Neutral, and Ground to Ground. Twist the ends of the wire pairs together and then twist on a wire connector. If there is no house ground wire, wrap the fixture's ground wire around the ground xxxx (E) on the mounting bracket/mounting strap.
9. Push the canopy (G) up to the ceiling so that the threaded xxxx (F) protrudes through the hole in the canopy (G). Secure the canopy (G) to the ceiling by threading the canopy loop collar (I) onto the canopy loop (H) until snug against the ceiling.
10. Slide the candle sleeves (O) over the sockets (R) and install light bulbs (not provided) according to the fixture's specifications. Do not exceed the maximum recommended wattage. If you have purchased shades (S), you can slide them over the installed light bulbs.
11. Your installation is now complete. Turn on the power and test the chandelier.
