To connect the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 to your Xbox One console, follow these steps:
1. Turn on your Xbox One console.
2. Press and hold the Xbox button on the controller to turn it on.
3. Press the wireless enrollment button on the controller, located on the top edge, just to the left of the USB port.
4. On your Xbox One console, press the connect button, located on the front of the console, to the left of the disc slot.
5. Within 20 seconds, press and hold the wireless enrollment button on the console until the Xbox button on the controller flashes rapidly.
6. Once the Xbox button on the controller stays lit, it means the controller is connected to the console.
