To control the ROBe LEDBeam 100 using DMX, you will need to connect the fixture to a DMX controller or console using a locking 5-pin XLR cable. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Connect the DMX data output of your controller to the DMX data input of the LEDBeam 100 using a locking 5-pin XLR cable.
2. Make sure the LEDBeam 100 is powered on and connected to a power source using the Neutrik powerCON in/out connector.
3. On your DMX controller, set the DMX protocol mode to one of the available options: 6, 35, 19, 14, 9, or 37. The appropriate mode will depend on your specific setup and requirements.
4. Assign the control channels for the LEDBeam 100 on your DMX controller. The available control channels are: Pan/Tilt resolution (8 or 16 bit), RGBW or CMY (8 or 16 bit), and Dimmer (8 or 16 bit).
5. Use the DMX controller to send DMX values to the LEDBeam 100. The DMX values will control various parameters such as pan/tilt movement, color mixing, dimming, and effects.
