To clean the groen DEE/4T-60CTA/3 60 gal Steam Kettle, follow these steps:
1. Scrape and flush out any food residues from the kettle. Be careful not to scratch the kettle with metal implements.
2. Prepare a hot solution of a detergent or cleaning compound as instructed by the supplier. Use this solution to thoroughly clean the unit, including the interior and exterior surfaces. You can use a cloth moistened with the cleaning solution to clean the controls, housings, and electrical conduits.
3. Rinse the kettle and draw-off valve parts thoroughly with hot water, then drain completely.
4. As part of the daily cleaning routine, clean any soiled external and internal surfaces of the unit. Pay attention to the sides of the unit, control housing, and underside of the cover.
5. To remove burnt-on foods, use a brush, sponge, cloth, plastic or rubber scraper, or plastic wool with the cleaning solution. Let the detergent solution sit in the kettle and soak into the residue to reduce the effort required in washing. Do not use abrasive materials or metal tools that might scratch the surface.
6. Clean the outside of the unit with a warm water spray, avoiding high-pressure sprays.
7. Polish the outside of the unit with a stainless steel cleaner, if desired.
8. If sanitizing is required, use a solution equivalent to one that supplies 200 parts per million available chlorine. Consult your supplier of sanitizing products for advice on suitable sanitizing agents.
9. Clean the core probe by wiping it with a warm detergent solution and a clean cloth. Rinse with clean water and allow it to air dry. Do not immerse the core probe.
10. If cleaning problems persist, contact your cleaning product representative for assistance.
