To clean the smeg KLF03 Pastel blue Electric Kettle, follow these steps:
1. Cleaning the surfaces:
- After each use, allow the kettle to cool down.
- Pour a cleaning product onto a damp cloth and clean the outside surfaces.
- Wipe the surfaces thoroughly and then dry with a soft cloth or microfiber cloth.
- Do not use steam jets, cleaning products containing chlorine, ammonia, or bleach, abrasive detergents, rough or abrasive materials, or sharp metal scrapers.
2. Cleaning the filter:
- Open the lid of the kettle and extract the scale filter located behind the spout.
- Wash the filter under running water using a soft brush.
- Put the filter back in its position behind the spout.
3. Descaling:
- Regularly removing scale deposits from inside the kettle will prolong its life and ensure maximum performance.
- You can use specific descaling products following the descaling instructions.
- Alternatively, you can use common household vinegar:
a. Fill the kettle with water (1 liter) and boil it.
b. Add white vinegar (0.1 to 0.5 liters depending on the amount of scale) and let it act overnight.
c. Empty the kettle and fill it with water. Boil the water and empty the kettle again. Repeat this process at least twice.
Note: It is important to avoid using descaling products for cleaning bathrooms or kitchens or products that contain perfumes.
