To connect a microphone to the Studio Technologies 214A Announcer's Console, you will need a standard 3-pin female XLR connector. The microphone signal should be connected to the XLR connector, with pin 2 as the signal high (+ or hot), pin 3 as the signal low (– or cold), and pin 1 as the shield. The console's microphone input is compatible with balanced dynamic or condenser microphones. Phantom power is provided and meets the worldwide P48 standard for condenser microphones. Make sure to use a microphone that is compatible with the console's microphone input.
