To activate the UCM testing program on the SCHMERSAL BP408 Safety Circuit, follow these steps:
1. Access the maintenance menu on the control system by entering the password. The default password is "8103", but you can assign a different password in the setup menu.
2. After entering the test code, a warning note will appear on the display, indicating that you are entering the testing mode.
3. In the testing mode, you can configure whether the UCM test should be performed with the doors opened or closed. Select the desired option.
4. If you choose the "with doors opened" option, a note will appear on the display, indicating that the safety circuit must be manually opened using the "UCM Test I - 0" switch, if it is available.
5. Once the testing mode is set up, you can proceed with the UCM testing program, which includes different test variants depending on the type of elevator system (gearless drive unit, drive unit with gear, hydraulic elevator).
6. Follow the specific testing sequence for your elevator system, which includes steps such as checking the distance traveled, testing the safety components, and verifying the correct wiring.
7. After completing the UCM testing program, the elevator system will be operational again, and any measured values or test results should be recorded in the testing protocol.
