Cleaning your AquaOasis AO-101 Cool Mist Humidifier is important for maintaining its performance and preventing the growth of mold, mildew, and bacteria. Here are the steps to clean the humidifier:
1. Turn off and unplug the humidifier: Before starting the cleaning process, make sure the humidifier is turned off and unplugged from the power source.
2. Remove the water tank: Take out the water tank from the base of the humidifier. Empty any remaining water from the tank.
3. Clean the water tank: Use a clean towel or paper towel to wipe the inside of the water tank. Make sure to remove any residue or build-up. You can also use a mild detergent or vinegar solution to clean the tank. Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water.
4. Clean the base: Wipe the base of the humidifier with a clean towel or paper towel. Pay attention to any areas where mineral deposits or dirt may have accumulated.
5. Clean the nozzle: If your humidifier has a 360-degree rotating nozzle, clean it by wiping it with a clean towel or paper towel. Make sure to remove any debris or mineral deposits.
6. Reassemble the humidifier: Once all the parts are clean and dry, reassemble the humidifier by placing the water tank back onto the base.
7. Regular maintenance: It is recommended to clean the humidifier every two weeks or when you notice a significant decrease in mist output. Regular cleaning will help maintain the performance and longevity of the humidifier.
