To set the desired cooking temperature, you can choose between Quick Temperature Setting or Manual Temperature Setting. Here's how to do it:
1. Slide the mode selector switch on the back of the base unit to the cook position " ".
2. On the LCD screen, you will see two temperatures displayed. The left temperature is the actual temperature reading from the temperature probe, and the right temperature is the set temperature.
3. By default, the set temperature is 212˚F. To change it, you can use either Quick Temperature Setting or Manual Temperature Setting.
Quick Temperature Setting:
- Press the MEM button.
- Use the " " or " " buttons to select your food type from the preset temperatures (poultry, beef well, veal/pork, beef medium, ham, beef rare/fish).
- Press the MEM button again to confirm and lock in the setting.
Manual Temperature Setting:
- Press the " " or " " buttons to manually set your desired cooking temperature.
- Refer to the Preset Temperature Cooking Chart in the user guide for recommended internal temperatures.
- Press the " " or " " buttons and hold for fast setting.
Once you have set your desired cooking temperature, insert the temperature probe into the meat and place the food into the oven. The thermometer will monitor the internal temperature of the meat and alert you when it reaches the set temperature.
