To clean the Amazon Basics MK-M110A1A Stainless Steel Electric Kettle, follow these steps:
1. Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool down before cleaning.
2. Do not immerse any part of the kettle in water or other liquid.
3. Do not use chemical or abrasive agents to clean the outside of the kettle, as they may damage the surface.
4. Fill the kettle up to the 1.0 L mark with a half water, half white vinegar solution and let it sit for over 1 hour.
5. Pour the solution out of the kettle and wipe off any residues with a damp cloth.
6. Fill the kettle with clean water, bring it to a boil, and then discard the water.
7. To thoroughly clean the kettle, you may need to repeat the cleaning process several times.
8. Wipe the outside surface of the kettle with a damp cloth and then wipe it dry with a soft cloth.
9. If you need to clean the filter, push it down near point B (or point C) to dislodge the hook, then push it down near point C (or point B) to dislodge the other hook. Carefully pull out the hook (point A) and remove the filter. Wash it with clean water and dry it thoroughly before replacing it in the kettle.
10. Remember to always unplug the kettle when not in use and before cleaning.
