To connect the Logitech M570 Wireless Trackball Mouse to your computer, follow these steps:
1. Pull the battery tab to activate the mouse.
2. Switch the power button on the mouse to the ON position.
3. Insert the Logitech Unifying receiver into a USB port on your computer, preferably one that is close to the mouse.
4. If you are using a Mac OS X computer, you may see a Keyboard Assistant dialog box when plugging in the Unifying receiver. You can simply close this window.
5. To customize your M570, you can download and install the free Logitech software from the Logitech website. This software allows you to reassign buttons, adjust tracking speed and acceleration, and tune the movement of the cursor to your thumb. Mac users will also need the software to enable the back, forward, and middle button functions.
6. The battery LED on the mouse will blink red when the power is low, indicating that you need to replace the battery.
7. The M570 features a scroll wheel, middle button, back and forward buttons, and a trackball. To clean the ball supports, you can push the ball out from the designated area.
8. When not in use, you can store the Unifying receiver in the receiver storage compartment on the trackball.
