To connect the FEIT Electric PLUG/WIFI/WP(N) Smart WiFi Dual Outdoor Plug to your Wi-Fi network, follow these steps:
1. Download the Feit Electric app on your smart device.
2. Plug in your Outdoor Smart Plug into an outdoor-rated GFCI receptacle with an appropriate outdoor cover.
3. Launch and use the Feit Electric app to complete the setup.
4. Tap on "Add Device" or the "+" sign in the app, then select "Outdoor Plug" and confirm.
5. You will be prompted to enter your Wi-Fi network and password. Make sure to connect to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network that covers your installation location.
6. Once connected, plug your device into the Outdoor Smart Plug, ensuring that it is switched to the ON position.
7. Finish the installation by securing the Outdoor Smart Plug to the wall using a xxxx (not included) through the strain relief tab.
8. Optionally, you can connect the Outdoor Smart Plug to Google Assistant or Alexa using the in-app guide.
If you encounter any difficulties during the setup process, make sure that your Wi-Fi network is a 2.4 GHz network and Bluetooth. The Outdoor Smart Plug will not connect to a 5 GHz network. Test your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth network with other devices to ensure they are operating properly. Additionally, ensure that your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth network password is entered correctly and try moving the Outdoor Smart Plug closer to your Wi-Fi router and Bluetooth for better coverage.
