To install the VIVOTEK AM-218 Wall Mount Bracket, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that you have the necessary components: AM-218 bracket, AM-719 conduit box, and the corresponding adapter (AM-520, AM-525, AM-527, or AM-528).
2. Use the included alignment sticker to mark the preferred position on the wall. Drill holes on the wall and install the junction box. If possible, pass cables through the wall, but it is recommended to use an NPT pipe if the connection goes through a wall to prevent water leakage.
3. Make sure the screws and mounting surface can support a weight of 5 kg.
4. Install a 3/4" conduit for routing the cables with a waterproof connection. The cable gland and conduit need to be supplied by the user.
5. Install the cable gland and pass the cables through it, forming a drip loop when routing with the conduits.
6. Route the cables through the AM-218 bracket and the corresponding adapter (AM-520, AM-525, AM-527, or AM-528).
7. Secure the bracket to the conduit box using the included hex screws.
8. Secure the adapter by turning them clockwise. Once done, fasten the hex socket xxxx to secure the connection.
9. Follow the instructions in the Installation Guide that came with the adapter to install the network cameras.
As for the compatible cameras, the AM-218 Wall Mount Bracket is compatible with various VIVOTEK cameras, including the FD9171-HT, FD9181-HT, FE8174, FE8174V, FE8181, FE8181V, and many more. For a complete list of compatible cameras, please refer to the table provided in the manual.
