To install the G3 Tail Connector on your climbing skins, follow these steps:
1. Place "Diagram A" on the tail end of the skin and mark the 3 holes and the rectangular notch.
2. Trim the notch using a utility knife or scissors and drill holes using a 3 mm / 1/8 in drill bit.
3. Sandwich the skin and tail strap between the two metal plates, aligning the holes with those drilled in Step 1.
4. Ensure that the silver buckle and the prong are facing up, resting on the same surface as the plush and pointing away from the skin tail.
5. Insert rivets through the metal plates and skin fabric, making sure the rivet heads sit into the recesses of the metal plate (rivets should sit almost flush with the metal plate).
6. Place the skin, metal plates, tail strap, and rivets on a hard solid surface (such as solid concrete or a thick metal surface).
7. Using a hammer, hit the protruding rivet until it becomes flush with the metal plates.
8. The installed G3 Tail Connector system is now ready for use.
Note: If you are printing the guide to use the template, make sure to print at 100% scale to ensure the sizing matches up to your climbing skins.
