To install the JEGS 555-51220 No-Spill Cooling System Funnel Kit on your vehicle, please follow these steps:
1. Install the applicable adapter and retaining cap to your radiator or coolant tank. Ensure that the adapter is compatible with your vehicle's cooling system.
2. Insert the funnel into the adapter connection. If you are using an angled adapter or extension, make sure to install it to the radiator adapter before attaching it to the funnel.
3. Slowly pour coolant into the funnel until it reaches approximately 1/3 of the way full. Take care not to overfill.
4. Start your engine and let it run at idle. This will help circulate the coolant and remove any air pockets.
5. Add more coolant to the radiator until the cooling system reaches the full level. Monitor the coolant level and avoid overfilling.
6. If there is still coolant remaining in the funnel after filling the radiator, squeeze the upper radiator hose while pushing down the stopper into the closed position. This will prevent any coolant from spilling out.
7. Remove the funnel and empty any excess coolant into a suitable container. Be cautious as the coolant may still be hot.
8. Remove all adapters from the radiator or coolant tank and reinstall the radiator cap.
9. Your cooling system is now ready for use.
10. The funnel can be cleaned and stored away for future use.
