To install the American Built Pro WHP26-1D Drilled Plastic Water Heater, follow these step-by-step instructions:
1. Water Heater Pan Installation:
- Place the water heater pan under the area where the water heater will be placed.
- Carefully set the water heater down onto the center of the pan, ensuring that no weight or force is applied to the sides of the pan. This will prevent any damage to the pan.
2. Installing the Drain Hose Adapter:
- Start by removing the circular nut and rubber O-ring from the drain hose adapter.
- Insert the threaded side of the drain hose adapter through the inside of the pan.
- Take the O-ring and slide it onto the threaded side of the adapter, positioning it against the inside wall of the pan.
- Hand- xxxx the circular nut onto the threaded side of the adapter until it is firmly up against the O-ring and inside wall of the pan. Make sure it is hand tight.
- Attach a hose (not included) to the outside of the drain adapter using appropriate cement or glue. Run the hose to a terminus as required by your local building code.
Please note the following important points to avoid any issues:
- Avoid placing the water heater on the edge of the pan, as it may crush the pan. Always center the water heater on the pan.
- Do not step on the pan to prevent any damage.
