To install the Hive Heating and Cooling Smart Thermostat Pack, follow these steps:

1. Install the Hive Hub: Connect the hub to your Internet router using the Ethernet cable provided. Plug the power cable into the hub and a power outlet. Wait for the hub to flash yellow.

2. Install the thermostat: Switch off the power to your heating and/or cooling system. Remove your existing thermostat from the wall and take a picture of the wires for reference. Disconnect the wires from the old thermostat backplate and remove it from the wall. Remove the terminal protectors on the wires. xxxx on the Hive thermostat backplate and connect the wires to the backplate following the terminal descriptions provided in the manual. Attach the thermostat body to the backplate.

3. Pair the thermostat and hub: Ensure the hub is flashing amber. If it's showing a solid amber light, unplug the power and reconnect it to reboot the hub. Turn the power back on to your heating and/or cooling system. The thermostat display will show 'Search' as it searches for the hub. Once paired, the thermostat will guide you through the setup process.

4. Complete online setup: Download the Hive app and log in using your registered email and password. Enter the hub ID (ABC-123 formatted number on the underside of the hub). Once the hub ID is entered, setup is complete, and you can control your thermostat remotely through the app or website.
