To install the XZENT X-F285 GPS Car Radio in your Ford Transit, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the installation is carried out by an authorized installer, as specific knowledge and tools are required.
2. Remove the existing 1-DIN DAB/FM factory radio using the release keys provided in the accessory set.
3. Disconnect the power/loudspeaker, antenna, and USB connector cables from the backside of the factory radio.
4. Prepare the plugs of the cables from the vehicle as shown in the illustration.
5. Plug in the USB interface cable from the accessory set.
6. Connect the Fakra end of the antenna cable to the Fakra plug of the vehicle-side antenna cable.
7. Install the GPS antenna in a suitable place, ensuring that it has a clear view of the sky and is not obstructed by metallic vehicle parts.
8. Connect the main wiring harness to the main connector of the vehicle.
9. If using the external Bluetooth microphone, mount it and run the cable to the radio slot. Change the microphone source in the device menu accordingly.
10. Check the fit of all connectors and ensure they are properly inserted.
11. Plug in the SWC/CAN interface into the connector provided on the main wiring harness and stow it away in the slot.
12. Connect all connectors on the backside of the device, ensuring they are properly inserted.
13. Hold the X-F285 device in front of the slot, stow away the cables, and gently push the device into the slot until it clicks into place.
