To fit the Deluxe Standing Sling, follow these steps:
1. Place the sling behind the client's back, between the base of the shoulder blades and the bottom of the rib cage. Attach the strap around the front of the client, ensuring it is not too tight. This strap is there to hold the sling in position while attaching it to the stand aid. Make sure the client's arms are outside the sling.
2. Position the stand aid so that the client's feet fit in the foot trays and the knees rest against the knee pad.
3. Initially, attach the longer loops of the sling to the white hooks at the end of the hand grips. The client's hands should be placed on the black hand grips or support handles. Once the client is used to the lift, the shorter loops may be used to achieve a more upright position.
4. Push the up button on the hand control to raise the client to the standing position.
Please note that the Deluxe Standing Sling is not a general-purpose sling and may not be suitable for all clients. It is important to conduct a thorough risk assessment before using the sling to ensure the correct sling choice, method of positioning, and transfer procedure for the patient.
