To install the VIAIR 32530 325c Air Compressor Kit, please follow these steps:
1. Select a flat, upright, and secure location to mount the compressor. It should be as close to the battery as possible to maximize performance and minimize the length of the positive lead wire required.
2. Choose a mounting location that is cool and away from heat sources. Avoid mounting the compressor in areas where it may come in contact with the elements.
3. If your compressor has a remote filter mounting, select a location where the air line can be routed from the compressor air inlet to the remote inlet air filter. Ensure that the remote inlet air filter is located in a dry location, away from the elements.
4. If applicable, mount the leader hose bracket to the leader hose by drilling a hole with a 3/16" drill bit and pushing the self-anchoring hose bracket pin into the hole. Route the leader hose through the bracket and secure it by pressing the bracket clamp into the locked position.
5. Disconnect the ground cable from the vehicle's battery.
6. Temporarily position the air compressor in the desired mounting location.
7. Route the ground wire to the negative post of the battery or an appropriate grounding point. Cut the ground wire to the required length and connect it securely.
8. Mount the air compressor using the provided bolts, nuts, washers, and locking washers. Use thread sealant for proper fitting installation.
9. Connect the compressor's positive lead wire to one of the leads of your pressure switch.
10. Ensure that your compressor setup is properly fused. Refer to the amp draw of the compressor in the specifications section of the manual for the appropriate fuse size. Locate the fuse as close as possible to the power source.
11. Double-check all connections before connecting to the power source.
12. Connect and test the compressor system by running the compressor for a short time to build up pressure in your air tank. Inspect all air line connections for leaks using a soap and water solution.
