To defrost the CDA CRI551 Integrated Refrigerator, follow these steps:
1. Switch off the appliance by setting the temperature control dial to the "OFF" or "0" position.
2. Unplug the appliance from the mains socket.
3. Remove all food from the freezer compartment and place it in a container or wrap it in several layers of paper and a blanket to keep it cool.
4. Open the freezer door and leave it open to allow the frost to melt. You can place a pot of hot water (not boiling) inside the freezer compartment to speed up the defrosting process.
5. While the freezer is defrosting, you can clean the interior of the appliance with a mild cleaning detergent and wipe it dry.
6. Once the frost has melted and the appliance is clean and dry, plug it back into the mains socket and switch it on.
7. Wait for the appliance to reach its operating temperature before placing the food back into the freezer.
Note: It is recommended to defrost the freezer at least once or twice a year to maintain its optimal performance.
