To switch between External Signal Mode and Internal Signal Mode on the DYN-IS-40 Inertial Shaker, you need to use the Gain xxxx . Here are the steps:
1. External Signal Mode:
a. Connect the DC power source and drive signal to the shaker power input and signal input, respectively.
b. Start the external signal source.
c. Turn the Gain xxxx clockwise to adjust the gain of the amplifier.
2. Internal Signal Mode:
a. Connect the DC power source and drive signal to the shaker power input.
b. Pull the Gain xxxx out.
c. Raise or lower the Sine Frequency Generator Switch to the desired sine frequency.
d. Turn the Gain xxxx clockwise to adjust the gain of the amplifier.
Please note that it is advised to turn the Gain xxxx counter clockwise to the lowest gain position before connecting the external signal cable or before changing operational modes to protect the amplifier from electrical problems.
