To install and set up the YoLink YS7805-EC Smart Outdoor Motion Detector, follow these steps:
1. Choose a suitable location: Select a location where the motion detector has a clear view of the area you want to monitor. Ensure that the detector is mounted at a height of 6-10 feet for optimal performance.
2. Install batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back of the motion detector and insert two AA batteries. Make sure to observe the correct polarity (+/-) when inserting the batteries.
3. Pair the motion detector with the YoLink Hub: If you haven't already, set up the YoLink Hub according to the instructions provided with the hub. Once the hub is set up, follow the steps below to pair the motion detector:
a. Press and hold the "Pair" button on the motion detector for about 3 seconds until the LED indicator starts flashing rapidly.
b. On the YoLink app, go to the "Devices" tab and tap the "+" button to add a new device.
c. Select "Motion Sensor" from the list of available devices and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the pairing process. Make sure the motion detector is within range of the YoLink Hub during pairing.
4. Mount the motion detector: Use the provided screws and anchors to mount the motion detector on a wall or other suitable surface. Adjust the angle of the detector to cover the desired area.
5. Adjust the settings: Once the motion detector is installed, you can customize its settings using the YoLink app. You can adjust parameters such as motion sensitivity, motion detection range, and notification preferences.
