To set up the BRESSER 9633106 Game Observation Camera, follow these steps:
1. Power Supply: Open the battery cover and insert 8 AA 1.5V batteries into the battery compartment. Make sure the polarity is correct. Close and secure the battery cover.
2. Inserting SD Card: Push the SD card into the card slot until you hear a clicking sound. The side with wording should face up. To remove the SD card, push it slightly to pop it out.
3. Default Settings: Push the switch button to "SET UP" to enter the settings menu. Use the ◄ button to navigate and the OK button to select. Set your preferred language first. Then, you can adjust other settings such as photo resolution, video resolution, video length, PIR sensor sensitivity, time lapse, and more. The manual provides a list of all the setting items and their default settings.
4. Setting up with the App (optional): Download the "Bresser EagleEye Trail Camera" app from the app store. Turn on the camera and switch the button to "ON." In the app, add a device and follow the steps to connect your phone to the camera via Bluetooth. Adjust the settings if needed. Once done, exit the app and the camera will be ready to take photos and videos.
5. Mounting: Mount the camera on a sturdy tree with a diameter of about 6 inches. Place the camera about 16-17 feet away from the area you want to monitor, at a height of 5-6.5 feet. Ensure the subject is within the ideal flash range of 10-60 feet for optimal night-time results.
6. Sensing Angle and Distance Test: To check the camera's monitoring capabilities, switch it to "SETUP" mode and make movements in front of the camera at different positions and distances. If the motion indicator LED blinks, it indicates that the camera can sense that position.
