To assign different sounds to each drum pad on the ALESIS CompactKit-4 Tabletop Electric Drum Set, follow these steps:
1. Press the "Rhythm" button on the top panel of the drum set.
2. Turn the dial to select a song.
3. Press the "Pad Assign" button.
4. Hit a pad to change its sound. Each hit will play and select the next sound. Stop after you hear the sound you want to use for that pad.
5. Optional: To change the sound of another pad, repeat Step 4.
6. When you are finished, press the "Pad Assign" button. The sounds are now assigned to those pads.
