To set up the hygger HG-959-S/M Internal Filter, follow these steps:
1. Take out the hook from the filter and fix it with the two protrusions on the back of the filter. Adjust the height of the hook according to the water level.
2. Rinse the filter cartridge and all parts with clean water from the tank to remove any debris or dust.
3. Put the filter cartridge into the filter, ensuring it is in the card slot.
4. Rotate the upper elbow to adjust the direction of the air vent.
5. Place the filter on the wall of the aquarium using the two suction cups or hang it over the tank using the hook (adjust the hook's height according to the water level).
6. Connect the filter to the air tube and then connect the air tube to an air pump (at least 3-watt). Make sure to equip a check valve on the air tube to prevent flow-back in case of a power failure.
7. Plug in the air pump and the filter is ready to use.
Note: It is recommended to keep all the lateral inlet openings of the filter below the water level for better performance.
