To connect your Vivitek D5000 DLP Movie Projector to your computer, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that both the projector and the computer are turned off.
2. Locate the VGA or HDMI port on the back of the projector. The D5000 model has both VGA and HDMI ports.
3. Connect one end of the VGA or HDMI cable to the corresponding port on the projector.
4. Locate the VGA or HDMI port on your computer. Most computers have a VGA port, but some newer models may have an HDMI port as well.
5. Connect the other end of the VGA or HDMI cable to the corresponding port on your computer.
6. Turn on your computer and wait for it to fully boot up.
7. Turn on the Vivitek D5000 projector.
8. Press the "Source" button on the projector or the remote control to select the input source. Use the arrow keys to navigate and the "Enter" button to confirm your selection. Choose either "VGA" or "HDMI" depending on the cable you used for connection.
9. Adjust the display settings on your computer if necessary. On Windows, right-click on the desktop and select "Display settings" or "Screen resolution" to adjust the resolution and other display settings. On Mac, go to "System Preferences" > "Displays" to make the necessary adjustments.
10. The projector should now display the content from your computer.
