To set up the Amcrest IP8M-2496EW-V2 Outdoor Bullet POE IP Camera for remote viewing, follow these steps:
1. Connect the camera to your network:
- Ensure that the camera is connected to your router using an Ethernet cable.
- Make sure the camera is powered on.
2. Configure the camera's IP address:
- Open a web browser on your computer and enter the default IP address of the camera (192.168.1.108) in the address bar.
- Log in to the camera's web interface using the default username and password (admin/admin).
- Go to the "Setup" tab and click on "Network" in the left sidebar.
- Set the camera's IP address to match your network's IP scheme (e.g., 192.168.1.x).
- Save the settings.
3. Set up port forwarding on your router:
- Access your router's settings by entering its IP address in a web browser.
- Find the port forwarding settings (usually under "Advanced" or "NAT" settings).
- Create a new port forwarding rule for the camera's IP address and port (default is 37777).
- Save the settings.
4. Configure the camera for remote access:
- Go to the "Network" tab in the camera's web interface.
- Enable the "P2P" option and save the settings.
- Note down the P2P UID displayed on the screen.
5. Install the Amcrest View app on your mobile device:
- Download and install the Amcrest View app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
- Launch the app and tap on the "+" icon to add a new device.
- Choose "P2P" as the connection type and enter the P2P UID of the camera.
- Enter the camera's username and password (default is admin/admin).
- Save the settings.
6. Access the camera remotely:
- Open the Amcrest View app on your mobile device.
- Tap on the camera you added to view the live feed remotely.
